I fell in love with collies watching “Lassie”. My first companion collie, Sierra, was born in 1972. Initially concentrating on performance, especially obedience and agility, collies became an integral part of my life and family as the years came and went. I had collies from many of the prominent breeders. In the 1982, I was referred to a breeder located in nearby Manassas, Virginia, Nancy McDonald of Barksdale Collies. She had a litter of puppies and Sherlock became my family pet. Performance continued to be my main focus until 2004 when Nancy gave me the opportunity to own CH Skyview Barksdale Trust. My love for conformation and the show ring had begun. In 2007, Carl Williford of Twin City Collies presented me with another chance to expand my horizons and add Khylie, my first conformation bitch, to our happy band. She earned her Championship in 2009. My special thanks go to Nancy McDonald and Carl Williford who continue to be great friends and wonderful mentors.
